If I were closer I would rescue them... But I'm not. Hopefully someone in animal control knows how to care for them

It was a burm and a boa. Side affect of the Lacy Act expansion. People can not take them across state lines, so when they move what do stupid people do?

OMG, folks, we really need to stop giving free ammo to the opposition. If you can't care for them properly there are ALWAYS folks who will take them, you can also sell them and help yourself in the process.

I hate seeing this sort of thing happen.

At least they didn't edit out the guy saying they are not evil. I thought that was cool.

One good thing I read in there was that they were going to rehome them. Atleast they aren't quick to pull the euthanasia card.

Animal Control asks viewer to contact them if you know anyone that had two pet snakes, specifically a boa and python, and they no longer have them.

That office number is 748-1683. Officers are 99 percent sure these expensive snakes were pets and are trying to figure out why they were released into the wild.

I hope they catch the idiot!

VA winters will kill those snakes.
What did the idiot expect them to do?
    Survive on their own?
    "Migrate" south?

    Grrrrrr!

The government released them to support the lacey act . . . it's a snake conspiracy! :gj:

That's not as crazy as it seems.

They've been caught 'planting' "endangered species" in places they wanted to enforce conservation laws in so nothing surprises me anymore.
