Re: Cheapest route to a BEL.
mojave x mojave, but they're borderline BEL, grey heads and yellowing.
mojave x lesser/butter is alright, but some still yellow
for your best chance at pure white i think lesser/butter x lesser/butter is the way to go, but then there is a chance for bug eyes

Don't forget Russos make very nice white snakes

Also super mojo's arent borderline BELs imo. Theyre still pretty dang white lol.
My LesserxButter BEL male has some slight bug-eye going on, but nothing too serious.
I love Super Mojos, and eventually will have one - I think their grey/purple pattern is fabulous.
My personal recommendation would be to save your money and get some quality in the animals you buy. But a mojo female will never do you wrong IMO. I prefer Lessers over Butters as I do feel they are different.

i could play devils advocate and say the "bad examples" might make great looking white snakes, who knows?
butters and lessers are the same exact morph coming into captivity two different ways, so the bug eye problem is just as likely to happen
Breeder around here has an adult female that is entirely yellow on top, she was solid white as a baby.. I've seen quite a few pictures of yellowed super mojaves also. I'm not sure how often they stay white, if they do at all.

I disagree with this one, quite a few have a yellow stripe. I've seen pictures of pure white ones, but at shows they all have had yellow stripes. looked like a blue eye'd ivory.

Bug eyes occur in LesserxButter BELs too.
Super Mojos are all white except for their heads..... But if I had to judge the whitest of the whites, the whites on pieds > BEL white.
Edit: Dang.... Everyone responded at once. LOL
