    Prolapsed rectum!!!
My snake just had it pushed back in. When's the next time I should feed him? I'm afraid of it repeating itself. Any advice?

Don't push it back in yourself. Make a sugar+water paste or just strait sugar and dip his vent in it. It will go in by itself. And you can wrap a little bandage with sugar paste on his vent.

    Code:

Had tried this the day I noticed it, didn't do anything only enlarged so the vet reinserted it today. Is it ok to feed him? I'm worried about contributing to it repeating itself.

I would wait a week or two so he can heal.

Can this happen to a snake that likes to really hold their poo in before they go? Even with proper feeding?

And as a follow up question if this ever did happen and was treated without surgery quickly and effectively with the sugar solution would that snake be unable to breed for the duration of their lives? Or would they be able to after skipping a season or it healing fully?

Probably not. It seems like it's the animals that push too hard...

I'm sure they can breed depending on how severe the prolapse was, but I wouldn't risk breeding that male anyway.
