    I think it's very cool that you are keeping a garden while in the sandbox! Very cool. How do you have the time to keep them alive? Lol. When my hubby was in Afghanistan he wasn't in one spot long enough to settle in let alone keep a garden!

    Thank you! We have moved once and will be here until we redeploy in about 3 months. Our mission is advising Afghans, so we don't really go out all that much, however we still get the opportunity to go off the FOB every couple of weeks. While we don't face as much of the IED or small arms fire dangers we are getting scuffed the hell up by the very guys that we are here training. The soldier that was shot and killed by an ANP (national police) two days ago was one of ours and we've lost 3 others since getting here. It's actually quite easy to keep them alive - I just water them in the morning and otherwise they sit in the sun all day!

    Haha! Thats so cool! I have a garden growing now too! Its more fun than I would have thought. Of course mine is not growing in afghan! :salute:
