Age

I just recently got a Cal King basically as a rescue. The guy never held it and said hes had it for two years. He said he fed it a hopper a week. He could only take 2 fuzzies and was done. Im wondering how old he really is, ive heard of the tail stripe thing, he has 8 past his vent. Any ideas why he is so small for being at least 2?

How many grams is he?

I have a '10 Cali who weighed in at 292 grams as of late June '12, and he's on large mice every week but took about a 4/5 month fast last winter. They grow at different rates and I'm sure he was probably a bit underfed hence why he's on the smaller size.

I've never heard of the vent tail stripe thing.

I actually dont have a scale, but will be investing in one soon. He just seems so small being at least 2 years old. Plus the guy lying to me I made sure he knew I was upset lol

Are you saying he lied about what he was feeding it? A hopper is not that much bigger than a fuzzy. So 2 fuzzies seems about right.
