    Field herping, tobermory Ontario style!
    The new wife and I are on our honeymoon and went on a little boat tour in Tobermory Ontario. We stopped on an island and were sitting on a rock and another family said "watch out for the snake!". Naturally I chased it down to see what it is. A local said it was a milk snake. Enjoy the pics.

    Wow, your wife looks really young in that first picture. :D

    Actually what you have in your hand there is a northern water snake. I used to live in Michigan and would catch them all the time. Brings back memories. Thanks for sharing.

    Lol. That's the family that warned us a big scary snake was comming for us. I thought it may be a water snake but I just trusted a local. It seemed to be in she'd so maybe that was contributing to the lightness. That and the rocks there were fairly light.

    The island is about a half hour by boat off the mainland. It's called flowerpot island because it has 2 of these rock formations:
