roller coaster week ~ the highs and the lows

Roller coaster week for clutches, 2 lessers and 6 normals from 8 eggs and 3 fires and 6 normals from 9 eggs, ahhh those pesky bad odds :rage:

Then we cut our bumblebee eggs, she bred the clown male, and gave us 2 bees, 1 spider, 1 pastel and 3 normal hets,
the week is looking up!

Then we went to the Portland reptile expo and met some people I knew online but didn't know personally, had a great time at the show.
I also bought my first Tarantula with some prodding by my buddy Brian Breikss(Simple Man on this forum)

and then came home from the show to find these beauties :banana:

Black pastel het albino X albino, she dropped 9 beautiful fertile eggs

She proceeded to share her love for me when I was removing her from her eggs, god I love that!

So all in all the last two weeks have been eventful if nothing, some butter het clowns, bee het clowns, albino eggs and even though the odds weren't the best on the lessers and fires, we got a few smokin snakes in those clutches also.

NICE on the het clown clutch!!! Sorry the odds were less than great with the other 2 clutches. But hopefully the albino clutch will make up for it. Looks like she gotcha good, I've never been tagged by anything bigger than hatchlings or juvies..

Thanks, I love that big ole bino, she gave us 9 perfect eggs last year also, such a good female.

Yeah she got me good, only hurt for a moment, then I smiled and thanked her for the nice eggs.

Thanks Don, will be my first try at producing albinos, and having the chance for black pastel albinos, i'm stoked!
As much as I like our adult fire male, this young male is so extreme I had to keep him.
If he doesn't make weight by next season I will repeat the pairing and make some more.

As nice as the black pastel het albino's were last season, I have no doubt she'll make some hotties, now for the 52ish day wait!

Gotta roll with the punches can't always hit great odds.
