Switching a shy eater to f/t
I'm trying to switch my snakes over to f/t and have read and been told to do pre killed first. My male is a voracious eater and he pounded the fresh killed no problem. My female however is a shy eater she won't even take a live mouse unless it's pitch black and she knows no one is watching. She wouldn't touch the zombie dancing prekilled in minimal light so now I got her in there in the pitch black just hoping she picks it up. Is it ok to leave it in their over night?

hey there. I had the same problem with my girl lucy. she was a SUPER shy eater and wouldnt eat anything for about 3 months. then i thought about leaving a fresh killed in the tank for her. didnt go so well the first time. the second time that i tried it i put it halfway in side her hide and she took it in about 5 min. I did this for about 3 weeks, then tried f/t while dangling it in front of her and she nabbed it up quick. so i wold suggest lying the mouse or rat headfirst a little bit in the entrance if her hide, and see if that does anything. best of luck!!!!:gj:

Glad to hear she ate it! If it's p/k or f/t you can leave it inside their cage overnight in the future. :)
