Tracking the weight gain of my baby BP
I have been tracking the weight of my ball python since purchase and just wanted to see if some of you more knowledgeable snake owners thought it seemed normal. He's my 1st snake so I just want to make sure he is gaining weight at a healthy pace.

    Dates and Weights (in grams):

    6/22- 80g (date purchased)

    6/26- 86g

    7/2- 96g

    7/10- 104g

    8/17- 126g

Thanks in advance for any responses or comments.

Looks good to me. Especially if he's just a baby.

I assume he was a baby as he was only 80g when I got him, but I'm not exactly sure of his age as I made the rookie mistake of getting him at petsmart. I can't complain though, he is super docile, never struck once, and he has never turned down a meal.

A place you might wanna check out is http://iherp.com/Welcome.aspx (if you haven't already). It's great for tracking everything, which comes in real handy later on when you're struggling to figure out why my snakes don't wanna eat lately like I am now.

BTW, those weights look fine. You could probably back off the weighing now that he's setftled, and just do it right after a good poo (can really throw off the real weight).
