I sent an E-mail to the petco company asking how it could be possible to distribute a care sheet from this site in their stores for care of ball pythons being that the one they currently provide is inadequate at best. They should be getting back to me in a bit - any thoughts on this?

I bet they'll deny it, but thanks for doing this! Lets hope for the best, if they agree I'll rewrite the caresheet asap. I've been meaning to do it for a while, but am waiting until other content is added to the site, because they will be linked to in the bp caresheet.

I bet if petco sees the anti-hot rock rant I let run on they'll decline asap. Their hot rock sales would go down.

If they reply tell them I'd be more then willing to rewrite it to supply better info. That sheet was written 8 months ago, there is a lot to learn in 8 months. I know it needs to be revamped sometimes soon anyway.

    Thanks again.

One more thing, e-mail petco's e-mail adress. They might take it more seriously coming from the owner. I'll e-mail them tomorrow morning. I'll also try and contect a couple other companies. My e-mail is admin@ball-pythons.net

    How do I post pictures?
sweet - I didn't mean to rush anybody or anything I just was a bit upset by their care sheet because I have read it. I'm thinking about writing a hand written letter as well and possibly a phone call as well if they don't reply because it really is bogus (in my oppinion) - I think I get into this stuff because I'm in college currently (senior but graduating in Dec.) and not only do I LOVE animals (all shapes and sizes - not in a PETA sense) but I really feel like making some change and since the 70s that vibe has been vanishing around campuses in many areas. So here is my crusade! Care sheets for PetCo hahaha.

Actually, I'd like to see an industry regulation (or even industry group voluntary compliance regulation) requiring accurate, up-to-date care sheets be offered to every individual who buys an animal from a business. Now that would be a definite crusade worth starting!

hmm funny you should say that there is a group from here leaving at the end of march to go to a government convention and propose bills - I'll see if I can get one typed up by then

Worth a shot, but if that were to be implemented it would be more likely to come from either an industry organization or each state's Dept of Fish and Wildlife or Dept of Natural Resources, or whatever each state calls it. Could be USDA too, I suppose, since they license people to sell sugar gliders and coatamundis and such.

also I just sent an E mail to PETA suggesting that they lobby for accurate care sheets to prevent misled owner pet death - they love to picket anyway why not give them an opportunity! :)
