Feeding question

So im curious how do i feed my lil guy if he is always under his paper towel?
I dont wanna move him before feeding him i dont want to stress him out.

Also i have a lot of fake leaves cluttering his cage since its kinda big. Should i remove those while feeding?

i dont think it will stress him out if you pull him out from under the paper towels to feed.

If you are using f/t then just use a blow dryer and have the air directed towards the cage. The scent will draw him out and he should go into hunt mode. If your using live then just put it in there and he'll smell it eventually.

Im using live. His feeding day will be saturday. And obviously his first feeding with me.
Im nervous to just drop it in there because.i dont want the mouse to find him first.

Just drop it in there. He'll sense it's there from its movement and come out.

Just dangle it near the hiding snake and he will for sure come out of hiding. You can leave the plants in they will not bother it.

What about the leaves? Should i take those out during feeding?

The leaves are fine. The less you mess with his enclosure, the less you can spook him.

Im worried the mouse will hide under them and the lil one will strike and get the leaves in his mouth.

Even if it was to get the leaves in its mouth it will not eat them. Once the snake kills the mouse it will let it go and start figuring out how it will swallow it. During this any leaves would be released.
