Did you use Prevent a Mite in all the snake's enclosures?

I never see any of my snakes soaking, but then again none of them have mites. Sometimes my sumatran short tail, retic, Colombian male, and a few others will take a little dip in and out of their bowls but they'll never stay in them.

It is normal to take alittle dip every once in awhile but take long soaks when they have mites. You still need a bit of heat. Try covering some of the lid with foil if you haven't already.

It's not normal behavior for a ball python to soak. Excess soaking is just a sign of mites or other skin related issues.

Take out everything in your enclosure. Wash the essentials with hot water and throw away what ever else you can't wash. Keep your set up to a bare minimum. Just a water dish and a hide.

Change your substrate to paper towels until all the mites have been treated.

Have you treated the enclosure with Provent a Mite? I assume thats what you mean in your original post.
In the mean time you can give your snake daily soaks with a drop or two of dish soap to help relieve him of the mites.

I used mite off. Where can I get prevent a mite? And I have washed everything and all that's in the cage is water bowl and 2 hides with newspaper substrate I have sprayed both tanks and the smaller snake soaks enough that there are dead mites in the water when I change it. And the bigger one doesn't have them very bad but soaks all day the little one soaks for awhile then goes back to his hide. And they both just ate monday

Mite off barely does anything. You can buy Provent a Mite on the internet. I believe LLL reptile sells it. It works wonders. Your mite problem will be virtually gone as soon as you use the stuff. Just make sure to use it on the enclosure and substrate ONLY, do not use it directly on the animals. PAM is the easiest and most effective way to eradicate your mite problem.
