My visit to Bob Clark's breeding facility!
I was recently invited to visit my friend Bob Clark's new breeding facility. He had a tragic fire at his old facility last memorial day and I was so very proud of him for not giving up, I couldn't possibly pass up the chance to see his new place! It had been a few years since I had visited his old facility but still had fond memories of it and all the animals inside. Giant reticulated pythons, tiny hatchling aldabra tortoises, designer ball pythons and an amazing variety of other random species. I always left his place inspired to want to keep more reptiles! Having not seen any pictures and only going on brief descriptions I really had no idea of what to expect from the new place, other than a great host and incredible animals. My expectations served me well as I walked into the new breeding facility. Bob met me with a smile and excitedly showed me around. Glow in the dark ball python morphs, reticulated pythons of EVERY color and pattern, giant black monitors, rodents on tap, vaulted ceilings, ice cold office and a HUGE incubator. He has a great staff of people that really care about the animals and really put alot of effort into making sure all their needs are met. Truly incredible, this new place was even better than I could have imagined. No wonder why he is always in such a great mood all the time, he is living out his dream. I spent the entire day there, looking at every single animal, taking pictures, visiting with Bob and enjoying every second. He was kind enough to give me the latest shirt to replace the one he gave me 21 years ago! I got to see some really cutting edge snakes hatching out and even got to candle some future hatchlings. Bob was a wonderful host and I will hold my visit fondly in my mind. Enough babble, here are some pictures!
Of course I couldn't go there and not do some shopping...Fire Yellowbelly :O
