switching substrate while on a hunger strike
Is it going to piss my snake off and make him less likely to eat if I switch his substrate from Aspen to paper towels? What about while he's shedding. He just went into blue today. I've finally used up all the aspen I have so I'd rather not go buy any more.

I've heard of it actually helping to break a fast, but it has never worked for me though. It might make them a little stressed, but probably not if nothing else changes.

I wouldn't mess with him, at least until he is done shedding. Try to minimize stress, poor guy. I don't think changing while on a hunger strike is too big of a deal, but when he is blue? I would let him shed first.
