    Weird urates question
My ball python has been leaving tiny little splotches of urine, a very small amount of urates, and a tiny smear of what looks like feces around her enclosure once or twice a day for the past week or so. As soon as I see it I change the paper towels on that side of her enclosure, but then maybe 8 hours later I'll see another teeny spot of urine, urates, and a smear of feces. She's eating and defecating well (as she always does during the summer) and is perfectly hydrated. I've had her for 5 years and have never seen this, so I figured I would ask: is this something I should be worried about?

I feel like this has happened to me sometimes too. Is she due for a big poop? Perhaps a soak might help relieve the pressure.

I would bag the next poop and see if you can have your vet run a fecal float just in case.

She actually just had a big, healthy-looking poop a few days before this started. I do soak her regularly (she fasts so much I worry about her getting dehydrated so I got in the habit of soaking her a few times a week - it helps that she loves the water too).

I sure do hope we don't have to deal with anything like parasites, but it has been a few years since I've had fecals done, so that is probably in order. Thanks for the reply!
