My little baby bumblebee finally ate. I tried live for the first time ever and even though the mouse had only been in the room for a minute or two, she was pressed up against the front of the tub. It was if she knew that I was going to make the 40 minute drive for live food. Of course having the spider gene meant she missed twice before connecting right on its head. I am so relieved that the little snake bailed me and my bad purchase out of jail! I am ecstatic right now. Thanks to everybody on BP.net for such helpful advice!
