    how much how big?
Can anyone tell by the pictures how big the mice I feed them should be? The previous owner says they won't take rats. Should I try to feed them 2 mice per snake if their not jumbo's?

I'm a newbie here still, but I'll tell you what almost anyone else here would say - you should feed your BP a mouse or rat that is 10-15% of their own body weight, every 5-7 for younger snakes and every 7-10 days for adults.

Unfortunately, the scale that the guy gave me is broken and doesn't give accurate readings.

Aw man, that's no good :/ well, until you can replace the scale, another method is to feed the snake a rat or mouse that's as big as the widest part of the snake. Not sure that will be much more helpful in this situation, but that's all I've got :) Maybe someone more knowledgeable will chime in, though I suspect others would tell you to just go get a new scale.

I've heard that too but the place I get them gave me pretty small mice this time which stunk. I don't know if I can only get the small ones to feed them if I should feed them 2 or not. I got to get them on f/t and get some method to this madness lol. Last time I had snakes was a long time ago and they eat f/t no problem so it was easy to get used to the same size and get a system down, now its a gamble with the live ones from a pet store.

She looks like she could easily handle large adult mice or rat pups. I'd try to get her switched to the rats asap or you're going to be going through many-a-rodent.

Looks like she could take large/jumbo adult mice or een weaned rats. Looks about the same size as my 500 grams bps, but also depends on how big your hand is lol.

LOL It's two different snakes. I would guess the female which I would have to guess is under 600 g and the male is maybe 400 g. Guess I'm just going to try to feed them another mouse tomorrow. When feeding them two live mice do you try to do it in the same night? My female I think is still hungry, she tried to get out when I opened her tub after she ate to put the hide box in which she never does. She clamped the side of the tub to and I had to pull her off hopefully she can digest the mouse now.

Sorry the second picture didn't load on my phone, I would try to get them over to rats so you dot have to feed multiple items at each feeding. At 400 and around 600 they both could easily take weane rats with out a problem.

Rule of thumb is 10-15% of your snakes weight is what prey size should be. Me, I eyeball it. They can eat prey as big around as their largest part. I would try to get them on rats. Maybe they need live, (which MUST be supervised) to stimulate them. If you have to feed multiple mice, yes, do if same night. One after the other until they are full. <------ This I have no experience with though, all mine eat rats and asf's. A scale would be a good idea though. Then you can keep track of your snakes growth. If your snakes are still acting hungry, they probably need bigger prey.
