    360 gram female spider ball???
    Such a non aggressive eater..eats every 3 weeks to a month..its like she shy's away from adult mice..should i Terry her on frozen our stick with same live..husbandry is spot on.so that has already been ruled out..any suggestions please.

    Have you tried to stun the mice? Give them a good thump on the head before you put it in with your snake. It won't kill it, just make it a little loopy, and maybe the ball will try and eat it that way!

    If she takes f/t you can try just heating the head up and maybe she will think its a smaller meal :confusd: Sometimes i do that when im trying to feed my large rats.

    I have some balls that are terrified of live food but if i just thaw out my rats at room temp then blast them with a blowdryer for ten or so seconds, the balls usually go for it right off the bat. Hope that helps :)

    A little update..she its eating much better..most of the time she its eating 1 adult mouce a week..except when she is in shed then she will skip that week..not really gaining weight real fast but she looks wonderful and her appetite is better

    We tried a rat pup a while ago..prolly early fall season..no go..my pastel ate it but not the spider..we are actually in the process of breeding rats now, so we will find out if she eats rats coming soon

    Well..i never thought about that..she went back to not eating again..i might try that this Friday..feeding day again for the collection :eek:

    How big is the enclosure? Smaller is better with the shy ones. Also make sure you have a nice tight hide so she feels secure and can ambush them.
