Burns all over snake - what should I do?
I went to camp for two weeks and my mom said she would care for my snakes. I said:

    1. Fill water bowl everyday
    2. Feed all snakes every week, 2-3 mice each
    3. clean tanks weekly

I came back today, and found this:

She had put the heat rope into the tank (unregulated) I'm in the process of getting a herpstat, and let it hang down into the tank. Im not very angry, but I'm a little frustrated, and very sad. What should i do? This burn looks so bad and I feel very bad for my snake. I think that a vet visit is in order, but what should i do before then? Thank you for all the help in advance.

    Vet Now
Get him to the vet ASAP. Seems like very bad burns. I would ask your mom to help as well. Let us know how he turns out, poor little guy. Looks painful

Run... Don't walk to the nearest vet. If you call an explain the situation, a vet should be able to get you an appointment today.

Don't be, accidents happen. Getting to the vet is the best thing you can do. Ball pythons are hardy little guys. Hopefully with some antibiotics and a few sheds your snake should be back to normal.

    Get that herpstat!!
