Excited to start working with these new rats!
Ok, so they aren't new or rare, but they are new for me! Just got these girls yesterday. Pics do not do them justice!

    Russian Blue

Roan (too bad her light markings didn't show up in this shot)

Golden Siamese (this pic really dulled down her color)

Hopefully I can breed the rex coat out of the roan and siamese lines.

Hairless rats creep me out. The russian blue has a very pretty coat though. I cant wait to breed my own someday!

Breeding rex out is easy, breed to a standard coat and get half rex and half standard...

Why would you want to breed the rex coat out?
Siamese rex's are awesome, I have made many hundreds of them and they sell super fast as pets.

Jerry, Your rex look very soft and wavy, while mine seem to be coarser haired. Just different quality or what?

Let me know how your hairless breed, my male is a horn dog but I cant seem to get my
Female's (6) interested at all! Plus ive tried other males too! I think they are just getting to size though.

I'm starting a hairless project myself. I had one colony randomly throw me two hairless males. I fed off the male from that colony and dropped one of the hairless males back in with the moms, but they started chewing him up. I pulled him back out and split the two hairless males up and got 4 new females to introduce to them on Saturday. So far, they seem to be getting along better. The one male has been bit a couple times by these females too, so either he's gettin' the job done or the ladies just don't like him... So, hopefully I'll have some more hairless babies coming in the next couple months...

These two are probably the lowest quality rex I've seen, hardly any curl. I like higher quality rex, but I can't seem to get any!
