Ball python mucus?
Well I just heard a strange noise coming from my BPs tub, when I open it up, there is what looks like snot all over her thermometer. Then there is another piece that looks like taffy(the best way I can describe it). I read online it could be possibly RI or mouth rot?!?! :tears::confusd:
I hear no wheezing, I see no excess discharge from her mouth or any part of her.
She is in a 41 qt tub, with her hot spot from 88-91 and her cool side around 77 ( I know I'm trying to bring it up.) her humidity is 65% . She has been eating f/t small rats like a champ every week, and nothing has changed in her tub. Are there any other possible explanations for this???

Well I haven't had either, I know it's going to happen sometime. Um your humidity sounds fine so I am going to put ri out of the picture for a second. How clean is your tub? I mean spot clean every time there is a reason too, and I usually do a complete revamp no later than every shed cycle. Does it's tongue look kind of yellow. Grab her head (lightly) and apply pressure. If you see bubbles it is ri. Either way, it's not like a minor burn or scale rot where you can apply some disinfectant until it sheds. I would get in contact with your reptile vet. Maybe even lighten up on the humidity a bit. More like 40% (absolute low) to about 60%. they do come from west Africa not the jungle. Maybe pics would be helpful???

Well her substrate is paper towels, so EVERYTIME she poops, I completely switch out her towels.
