    My frist BP (normal)
It is a normal male 2 to 3 years old male. One of my new friend in the repilte world was taking care of him for a lady that moved into apartment that would not let reptiles or fish in the apartment, but a 70 pond lab could go. My friend had him for a few years. the other owner said that she could find him a perment home. He eats F/t small rats ever 2 weeks loves his food. Never been off of feed. She said he was due to eat today, but I am going to feed him next sunday. Sould I feed him once a week or stick with ever 2 weeks?

He looks nice and shiny..I feed weekly, but have a higher refusal rate than what I had when I fed bi-weekly, I'm more comfortable feeding weekly than bi-weekly...He's used to eating every two week? If that's the case maybe feed every ten days for a few feedings and then go weekly, I prefer to try and get my bp's used to changes in stuff like that. Some people may say it doesn't matter just feed weekly, but I do things gradually...

anyhow, nice bp and welcome to the world of keeping bp's! I see you have a tub, much easire to hold humidity and heat than a tank and a more secure feeling for the snake as well. Congrats!

Yea I when with tub money is tight, but I want to get a display tank with a good lock on it. My husband is scared of snake and it will make him feel better. This tub has a nice tight lid on it. Right now he is in the livingroom , but I am moving him into my bed room. I dont want my 5 year old son to be missing with him while I sleep. my son sometime gets up at 6am.

He looks good! Congrats and welcome to the addiction!

As for your feeding question you can keep feeding him every two weeks since he's an adult. That is a maintenance feeding schedule that will keep them at the same weight. If you want him to gain some weight you can feed him every week, it's not going to hurt him and he if gets too big/fat he'll stop eating for a while to make up for it.

O the my friend told he loves to come out of his cage and chill and to go outside. He is like the preftect pet snake. I hope it will help my husband get over the fear of snakes. I dont want to rush him to get over his fear.
