looking for new cage for a ball python and corn snake

i am looking at possibly getting a couple of the animal plastics t3 cages for my ball python and my corn snake.
my question is do you guys think the t3 will be a decent size for both when they reach adult sizes.
also for those that have these cages do you get the correct temps with just the flexwatt they sell/install with the cages or do you have to add other heat sources to bump up the ambiant temps also. what thermostat do you recommend i was looking at a couple of brands called the herpstat or a helix any thoughts on these, should i run a seperate thermostat for each cage or one for both cages any suggestions on proper thermostat and heat source setup would be great.

I think the T8 is what people usually pick for an adult size bp.

I have a VE-200 and love it. Herpstat and helix are just as nice!

I would think so, it is bigger than a 41 qt sterilite tub.

I'm not familiar with Corn husbandry, but the T8 is recommended for Ball Pythons.
You can maintain temps pretty well with just flexwatt, but if your house does get too cold, you can purchase radiant heat panels from Animal Plastics. It just depends on your ambient temps at home.
The Herpstat 2 has two temp probes and can maintain two different enclosures at two different temps if you choose too. As I mentioned before, I'm not familiar with Corn needs, so if their temp range is similar to a Ball Python's, you can use a starter level Herpstat or other single probed thermostats to maintain both enclosures with a power strip.

it is not real cold in my house i keep the ac at 76 most times sometimes i drop it to 74 but never below that so i would hazard to guess my temps should be fine with just the flex watt. i just want to get a size that i don't have to upgrade again and most of what i read stated a cage size of 36x24x12 should be fine for a adult ball python but i thought to ask here since you guys have a lot of experience in this area.

I have several corns myself and I'm working on building them a snake rack. Normally you want your hotspot for BPs to be around 90*, but that is too hot for corns. They only need 85* so you will either need to buy two separate racks or be able to independently control your flexwatt. For my rack, I have the corns on one thermostat and my BPs on another. I also put my BPs on the top because heat rises and I don't want to overheat my corns.

To the OP: Since corns and balls require different hot spot temps, the Herpstat 2 is perfect for you. It is a single unit with 2 different probes that have the ability to regulate two different heat sources.

yes i like the herpstat 2 which is the one i will be ordering. im just worried that if the ambient air temps are not high enough and i have to use a radiant heat panel then i will need to get another one to measure both cages unless i buy a herpstat 4 right from the get go and if i dont need the r.h.p then i can control 4 cages when i get them. hmm decisions decisions.
