Ultratherm Heat Pads??

Hows it going? Is it true that a thermostat isn't needed for the Ultratherm Heating Pad? Im planning on getting one for my ball python. Thank you!

I'd like to get as many answers as possible.

You need a thermostat for every heatpad/uth they are a must without one it could easily overheat and burn/kill your snake.

I have an Ultratherm and I still have it hooked up to a theromstat. I have it hooked it up to my basic Herpstat.
