When do I know to feed larger mice?
Hi all, I bought my ball python about a week ago, and when I bought him I was told to feed him fuzzies. I fed him today and I saw that the mouse wasn't at all noticeable in the thicker part of his body. Is it time to graduate him to bigger mice? When exactly do I know to upgrade?
I know the rodent is suppose to be as thick as the thickest part of his body, but when exactly can I tell when I should get bigger food, without spending the money on a too small mouse?
Re: When do I know to feed larger mice?
is this live or f/t?
I'd say when you go to wherever you get your [live] mice, jus try to find a mouse just slightly bigger, there are sizes [many] in between the general sizes advretized..
If you are feeding frozen, I don't think feeding one size up will hurt much, especially if the last one didn't make a huge bump. you could also feed less often if there are larger meals.
