How often do you change the water??
My snake is so wierd. I came home today and found it laying in its hide, except its head was peeking out- upside down. I picked up the hide and saw that half of him was just laying there belly up. I must say my guts dropped a bit when I first walked in and saw him like that, but then it just moved back into normal position and I left him alone. What in the world??

    Dont eat during shed.
it could be really bad...or it could be nothing. search on the internet for symptoms of IBD and make sure your not seing any other symptoms.
maybe it just got bord and was wondering what the world looked like upside down....hehe. i hope your snake is alright...

Is there a possibility that its pregnant?

"If they happen to become gravid (pregnant) they will begin to refuse food. You may notice the females having some swelling and basking with their bellies turned up." - http://www.kingsnake.com/ballpythonguide/

Mine will do that sometimes.....they will also lay on their side. Its normal from what I know of....because alot of the people I know have ball pythons that do this.

it just did it that one time, as far as I have noticed. It a GREAT eater and is very alert when handled. Actually- the snake seems to get very uncomfortable when given the opportunity to crawl around outside its cage when being handled...it refuses to leave your hand/arm. Its only about 10 weeks old and never come into contact with another snake so pregnancy is definitly out of the question, however it was about to go into shed when I noticed this so maybe it was feeling a little strange in its old skin.

actually my baby ball just started doing this last night after i fed him. The temps are right, the humidity is right, i fed him a hopper that was roughly the size of his body but its weird because he sometimes laid his head upside down.
