    Buying a BP in ohio?
I am going to ohio to visit family for a week or so, and am looking into purchasing a ball while I'm up here. But with the ohio bill that was passed, will that affect it? We are driving, not flying, if that makes a difference. I don't even know if the bill relates to balls or not? I'm actually clueless on the bill, I just know it's in ohio.

It is currently NOT illegal to transport ball pythons across state lines. They were not one of the 5 species to be placed in the Lacey Act.

As for the Ohio bill, I'm not sure, but I think it's the federal one you'd have to worry about, since you'd be transporting it OUT of Ohio not INTO.

Thanks, I knew it was fine to transport them, I just wasn't sure about it because of the ohio bill and my lack of knowledge of it.

Yup, balls are fine. The bill refers to large constrictors (burms, retics, afrocks, anacondas, etc).
