    I dont think my bps have mites, but I want to know if this is actually what they look like so I do know what to look for. If this is not what they look like, can someone post a pic of what they do look like??

    I agree that the thing in the picture looks like a tick. Mites look like black poppy seeds.

    I just ask because my snakes have lots of little black spots but it seems that its actually the scale color, when they were on paper towels i never saw any black specs or anything. but now I am paranoid that my snakes have them......probably not, its most likely just an anxious thing lol

    The above linked picture is the same one I found earlier today when researching mites in case the rescued snake I just got has them (I don't think so, but I just got it last night).
