Out of Debt - Sort of
:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:
So I have now officially paid off my student loan from the last semester that I took classes for my master's as well as all of my credit cards (I have 3)! It is a good feeling but I still have a duplex in Kansas that has a mortgage and am paying on my truck (about $20,000 left) and my wife's car (about $12,500 left). So no, I am not out of debt, but it does feel good to only have a couple of vehicles and some real estate to make payments on now!
My treat to myself was paying in full for a male VPI axanthic and a female het VPI, which ran me $375. Now I am even MORE excited to get home from Afghanistan in December than I was before, if that's possible. :D

HUGE Congrats! Mortgages and car payments aren't what I would consider debts, because they are something that everybody has. So they're more of an aspect of life these days. As long as your payments still allow you to stay within your means, then you're doing fantastic!
I only have $3,000 left owing on my Line of Credit. But my credit cards are CLEAR. My car is paid off. And we're currently renting a cheap place so that we can stash away money for a down payment on a house over the next 3 years.
Once that LOC is done, I'm going to be joining you in that happy dance.
That's awesome! Way to go! :banana:

M buddy just got to leatherneck on his way out from his second pump. Was in the initial push into Sangin last year, what a mess. Be safe and hurry home man

The military will pay for up to $250 a credit hour, my masters program runs me $500/credit, so I have some left to cover on my own. Yes, but the divorce is not yet final. I am now going to save like crazy to pay for the lawyer! LOL Another reason that it is a good thing that I have no more revolving debt accounts with a balance is that child support and alimony (sp?) will hurt a bit. Either way, the truck will be paid off in 3 years and she will likely take over payments for her car, so in 3 years, barring me accumulating any additional debt, I should have no more debt, as the duplex will be sold as a result of the divorce. Maybe then I'll buy the Fat Boy Low that I've been wanting for the last two years!
I have 4 months left here and trust me Zach, I'll do everything in my power to be dangerous (as opposed to safe) and come home in one piece when it's my turn to come home.
