Quick question on feeding
I fed my baby bp a rat fuzzie on Tuesday. He fed fine and took it down. He then went over and went into his hide on the COOL side of the tank. I haven't seen him under his hide on the HOT spot on Wednesday or today. Tonight, i took him out to hold for a few minutes (it had been 48 hours since he ate) to get use to handleing. When I check the temp with an IR temp gun where he was lying, the surface temp was 75*F. the area around his hide was 77*F. Is this normal for a ball to go on the cool side after eating? Here are the temps I have been keeping: Thermostat at 96/97*F, temperature probe inside the tank and under the aspen bedding is reading 93-94*F, and the surface temp on the hot side is at 89-90*F.
Please advise on the situation. I think all my temps are good. He might just like the cooler side. All suggestions are welcome. Just want to make sure everything is good and not something that im doing wrong.
Thanks so much for all your help!!!
