    Size to weight ratio
Sorry I have been posting a lot on here, but I like to figure out as much as I can about something in going to have living with me for 30+ years and want to make sure they are as comfy as possible!!

I was just curious, how many grams should a bp weigh per foot or even half foot? I have 2 bps, 1 looks nice and not fat but healthy, and the other one is longer and much more skinny. I am getting some digital scales this weekend and will be weighing them to make sure they are both in good health!!!

Very rarely is length used in this hobby. They are mainly only tracked using weight...

But shouldn't there be like 100 grams per foot or something like that though??? I saw that somewhere or maybe it was age + grams??? I dunno it was something similar to that lol

They all grow differently. You could a 1000 gram yearling or a 400 gram 5 month old.

It really varies to the snake and as long as they have a good body condition, then they're right where they need to be. Chubby but not fat. ;)

Yeah, the one I refer to as Healthy, is a little chubby, I was feeding twice a week, but I thin I may cut back to once a week and see how that goes lol. The other one on the other hand may be just right as I texted my breeder and asked him how old the spiders were and they are only 6 weeks old. He said he fed them twice a week for the whole time and I even got to see him eat before I took him home. So I know he eats, maybe I need to up the size of prey a tiny bit that hes eating?

They should be nice and thick. If they're too skinny their spine will look triangular. You want them to be filled out but not pudgy. If you're feeding 10-15% every 5 or 7 days I doubt you're going to over feed because once they get old enough they'll naturally start refusing meals from time to time.
