hi i am having a small problem ..
both my bps are roughly about 1 year old or a small bit more and one is taking a weiner(small) rat and the other will only ever take 2 fuzzies and refuses to go onto anything bigger.
is this a problem or am i worrying about nothing

    wild-caught mice?
1 year old still on fuzzies! That sounds small. I'm not sure how old my bp is exactly, but its about 29" and I'm feeding it small rats just fine.

i got a 32 inch female that knocks down small rats like they were pinkies.

1 year and still eating fuzzies? Mine is about 6 months and eating adult mice just fine. he is 22'' long (last i measured). I would try feeding bigger mice until it eats one and that should do it. After eating one it will become routine for the snake. It probably just doesn't think it is the right food...

My understanding is that what they eat should be in proportion to the circumference of their body.

Id say at a year they should be eating small rats or 2 adult mice
