    Banana Questions
Okie dokie, so I was playing and dreaming on worldofballpythons wizard / morph list...I knew about the banana ball, but never really researched it. So a few questions...How old is this morph? I was under the impression it's been around a while. I assume from one of the links I went to that it's female heavy? And the males are more sought after? Or is it similar to the desert in reproduction issues with the female? The prices I've seen are around 40k, are they still that rare? Or am I getting banana confused with something and this morph is still rather new. They are definitely the holy grail...my goodness. :O

Kevin at NERD had the first one about 10 years ago. He hasn't sold very many to other breeders. The funny thing about them is that they throw mostly female offspring. Males are super rare. it can be 3 generations before males are seen. It's been theorized that with each new generation the percentage of males goes up but that still need more data to prove out.

Gotcha, thanks :) So is the Coral Glow the same as Banana? Are they the same morph just named differently depending on who you ask?

The Banana was originated by a wild caught female owned by a guy named Will Slough, the Coral Glows were originated by a wild caught male (which was originally called the white smoke) which was owned by Kevin McCurley, they appear to be the same morph but from different lines. There seems to be a lot of controversy surrounding the mutation, not all of it makes a lot of sense. I'm sure there will be more to come.

As far as I know the Coral Glow has yet to be proven Codom, I believe I saw a video of kevin saying that he has not yet attempted but as for the date on that video I cant be certain if thats is relevant anymore (Feel free to correct me guys!). The banana has a super now so for me that is what truly differentiates it from the Coral Glow. So the Banana is a Codom morph and the CG is a Dominant. So bananas have the same male to female production thing as coral glows?

According to Mike WIllbanks - "The Banana/Coral Glow is a codom trait. So bred to a normal will yield 50% banana babies."
