How big should a Male Ball Python be at 1 year old, how big are your snakes?

Hey i'm just wondering how big a 1 year old male ball python should be, well mines actually just turned 14 months today and hes 40 inches in length and at his belly hes about as thick as a clementine, I was just wondering
if this is normal, or if he's bigger than the average? I don't overfeed, he eats only when hes hungry, and how big are your ball pythons

Anywhere from 200 grams to 1000 grams is pretty normal, lol.
For a normal, 200 to 800 is usual. All depends on feeding schedule, and individual growth rates, which vary tremendously.

As for length...I don't think anyone seriously measures that.

Probably be easier to post a pic of him next to something for scale...soda can, cell phone, million dollar bill...etc...

If you could provide his weight in grams it would be very helpful. Digital food scales are inexpensive and can be picked up at Target or Walmart. Can you post a picture as well?

What kind of prey are you feeding, and how often? BPs are a thick-bodied snake and should look noticeable chunky around the middle. I love your comparison to a clementine, but it's not really translating in my mind into snake girth ;)

yea im gonna hopefully get a measurment on him this week ,and ill post photos of him tomorrow, same with my 8 month female pastel,
umm okay for a better perspective hes a bit thicker than a golfball
