2 new BP set up questions
Ok, I have just acquired 2 BP and setup. the set up is all wrong, I plan to fix, but please advise what are the priorities as to what I need to spend money on first.

These were not his first snakes, but my first in a long time. aquarium (75 tall?), screen locked top (alluminum foil taped to underside - maintain moisture I am guessing). He said that has had these for 5 years (all life) in this set up. not sure sex, both in same tank.

more wrong stuff... UTH stuck on bottum (middle), and a heat rock inside. No thermostat. 2 hides. one bowl. humidity so high as the insides are fogged.

Ok, do I 'need' to seperate them? I need thermostat, need temp/humid guages,

really just want to know what I need right away, then save for the next things.... again considering that this is how they have lived for about years..

    thanks

I see no point in housing snakes together unless for breeding purposes, so IMO yes: you do need to separate them. There's already tons of threads about the risks of housing two together so I'd look into those.

Look into tub setups too: it's only about $6 for a tub for each of them.

    Get rid of that heatrock!!

If you're an experienced keeper, keep them together, but IMO I'd separate them.

Check out the care sheet on this website. I would seperate them, and throw away the heatrock! Get some flexwatt and a good thermostat.

If I were you I would ditch the whole setup for the most part and get yourself some tubs. I would absolutely separate them. There is no benefit to housing them together unless you are doing it solely to save money, which is a terrible reason. If you use tubs, housing ball pythons is very cheap.
