fire butter or fire fly male

greetings,
I have the opportunity to either purchase a firefly male @ 540 grams or a fire butter male @~80grams.
would like to breed to my female spider and pin next season, so that also holds implications.
the fire butter is $250 more than the fire fly also.
please let me know your thoughts,

I personally would lean toward the butter fire. I love fireflies, but i would bet you have more pastel combo females than butter combo females (and if you dont the pastel combo females would be cheaper to aquire)

either way you go I would look for some vanilla combo females to go with that male. But you need to stop and evaluate what females you have and what combos you want to make in the future and go with the animal that works better for your future plans

Fire butter! They're pretty rare these days.

I will gladly take the fire butter if you do not want it. I'm looking to breed for a Nuclear Spider down the road.

I would go with the Fire Butter as well since they are harder to come by. But I think the Dragon Fly is sweet (FireFly + Pin) so heck I would get both males. Ultimately, it depends on what other females you have available. Do you just have the spider and Pin?

I have a axanthic, a pastel and a butter female along with the pin and the spider.

Tough call then....I see why you are asking for opinions. You have a good start to your collection so far. Either choice as long as it is an excellent example would be good IMO.
