    Pit of 200 cobras....
Reason I post this, is because I can see this going viral. So, im going to have to assume these snakes are defanged some how, I'm pretty sure I saw him get tagged in the head. Obviously feel bad for the snakes in more ways than one, but i do realize other countries are different, no matter how much I disagree with what he is doing. The big question on my mind is wtf is he actually doing? Says cleaning a snake pit, but I see no cleaning going on.

Wow... What an idiot. I understand that there are cultural differences, but he's being incredibly rough with those animals. The way he's throwing them around and grabbing them so hard, I'm sure they're at least extremely stressed, if not physically hurt. Uncool...

I couldn't see the info as I was on my phone, but it looks like he was just looking for a specific snake.

Perhaps their fangs have been cut to minimize venom transfer? I don't how these people do it, but they're clearly not afraid of being bit.

Poor things. It looks awful and amazing at the same time. I can bet they're probably going to be for food or some type of ceremony.

Depending on the country, he could be trying to pick out a couple good ones for food. They're a delicacy in some places. :/ But I seriously doubt that is all that's going on. Those poor snakes. :(

I've seen this video before. I believe he is picking out some snakes for a show. I also disagree with how he handles the snakes. Yea he might be working for $2 a day, but he can atleast find a stick in the woods to use, instead of tossing them around like bean bags.

The video is terrible! But these things will keep happening even know the herp people of the world don't want it to. These are tourist attractions, people who don't understand reptiles see these as amazing shows, and love to see a guy in a pit with 200 cobras as he wrangles them. It's sad because most people don't realize these snakes are poor housed, god knows when they had their last meal, and are stressed beyond belief. You can see some Of the snake are so weak they can't even hood up. Me personally I would love to slap him just once to show him, there is no need to slap a cobra/snake/animal/human/any living thing just to show off in front of a crowd. I would have no problem if he was handling the snakes in a proper manner, and they were being feed, housed correctly, and being showed just as a tourist attraction.

I agree with the previous poster that these don't look like they're venomoids! You can see the swelling on their heads from the venom sacks. Most venomous snakes will likely try a dry tag first to conserve their venom, but eventually someone will get a hot tag!

I *think* it is from thailand, it is common to eat snakes and drink the blood (in vodka from the heart) and bile (also in vodka). I suspect it is something to do with this. I find it very sad myself even if it is snakes intended for food it does not matter. How we treat our animals before slaughter for food products describes us as a person and culture. There have been posters here whom have described breaking out the teeth of live rats before offering them to their snakes... It really isn't much different to me.

I don't see how that's any worse than how our culture treats cows and chickens.
