Does this need a visit to a Vet?
I just came home to find one of my egg from my first clutch had hatched and the little wiggler had a little sack dragging behind him. Since it's my first hatching I'm not sure if it's simply a bit of yolk sack that just need to be left alone to be reabsorbed on it's own, or it's something that need an intervention. The "belly button" seems to still be opened a centimeter or a bit less with a little fleshy protuberance about the size of a green pea. It does not seems to be bleeding.
For now I have put it in a small tub with moist paper towels under him so it would not dry or rip. I would like to know if/ what I need to do to ensure my new python health.

wet paper towels like everyone else said. if the sac is still a desent size, I put the wet paper towel in a small deli cup to keep the hatchling from moving around as much. you don't want them to rupture it.
