Help ! is my BP constipated ??

My 2 and a half y.o. ball python used to poo after a week that she had eaten, but that was during her first year, then she it started being 2 weeks after, now recently, she ate 3 weeks ago and still hasn't defecated, last month it was also a month later that she did.

Anyway, maybe that's normal, but I'd like to have some suggestions...

Also, I read in a book that her stools shouldn't be watery, well it is, and it isn't one solid white part and one solid black part, first, it is white-yellowish-watery-"jelly like", and then she doesn't discharge the black part for more than a week or so.
She's had this kind of yellowish discharge for about a year (i guess), i thought it was normal until i read in the book that it shouldn't be that way. What do you think ?

Try giving her a nice warm bath, usually they'll poo in there!!

When you say she ate three weeks ago, do you mean you haven't offered her food for three weeks?

A warm bath can definitely help, but it's completely normal for them to skip defecating once in a while. The urates are watery when they first come out, then they dry into the chalky substance.

Pictures are always helpful. If she is acting abnormally then I would recommend a vet visit.

If she hasn't eaten in 3 weeks, then she doesn't have anything to push the poop through her system.
A snake can go months without pooping. My snakes don't poop unless they have consistent and regular meals. If they go off-feed, they stop pooping (for obvious reasons). My snakes are fed once or twice a week and some of them don't poop every week. Maybe once a month.

Is the yellow discharge poop or urates. Urates are yellow/white hard stubstances. That is normal for snakes. It can be watery when it first comes out sometimes.

So unless your snake isn't acting normal or looking ill, I would think your snake is ok.

I did give her several warm baths already...
I fed her 3 weeks ago and 2 days ago, she hasn't defecated yet. There are no reptile vets where I live.
Maybe I should feed her twice a week from now on.
Is is normal that she defecates yellow-orange jellylike stools ?

I would feed every week. 10%-15% of the body weight for younger growing snakes and 5-10% for adults. Some choose to continue the 10% but extend the frequency to every two weeks.

Constipated snakes look well lumpy and if you feel the lower end they feel well hard lumps with air pockets. It is fairly obvious generally.

How large is your snake currently? length and weight?

Your snake is fine. I get jelly urates every once in a while.

Feed your snake every week.

It doesn't really matter when they poop. Ball pythons rarely get constipated, and you would know it if she was. The area right by her vent would feel very solid and look much fatter. Sometimes snakes that are close to a shed cycle will hold onto the poo until they shed. Then they let it all loose! gross

size and weight would be good to know. If it's younger 4-5 days, older once a week. Don't hold off feedings. Just like humans, usually after you eat, you gotta poop. It's got to go somewhere...lol keep us posted. Cheers
