Small rat pups with their eyes just open. Carpets can take very large meals. Once you switch, watch her grow!

x2 on the Rat Pups thing, just make sure they don't get thrown up afterwards. Carpets can down large meals, but some will down too large of a meal and toss their lunch, then refuse feeding for a week or two.

i just fed her a fuzzy and she took it no problem. was a bit tougher(obviously) than a pinkie but down the hatch it went. i may go to a hopper next week and if it goes well move to weaned. im going to bump her gradually over a span of 3 weeks or so. thanks for the help.

When you say hopper did you mean rat pup? Hopper is a mouse term and you shouldn't be feeding her nice at all. IJ are known to get hooked on mice and they become too large when adults to be in them.

Dont worry about mice imprinting too much IMO. It can happen, but all of mine switched to rats being raised on mice by the breeders in most cases (live at that to frozen).

ya, rat pup. slightly larger than a pinkie and with fur. she took it no trouble. i fed her live mice at first but after 3 or 4 meals switched her to frozen rats with no troubles.

You shouldn't try to feed any snake for at least a week after a regurg. They need time to build up the digestive fluids they lost. Most suggest waiting 10-14 days before offering food again.

I know this is not what you are dealing with but you should know just in case it happens.
