Jojo is now as i type eating his first small rat he just got past the head so i think he will be able to hold it down. But my other wont eat it i dangle it in front of her and she backs away. But i put her in a small box with it and maybe she will take it.

Congrats! Feeding days are so great when they eat! The other one will come around, Im sure since you left it in there with her she will find it. (It is dead, right?)

Well my new BP didnt eat the rat and yes it put it in there dead i had quite a drama knocking them out. I put them in a ziplock bag and smacked them against the wall the bag tore open and the rats flew. had a heck of a time keeping the cats away. Any suggestions on my other Bp would be greatly appreciated? Gosh i have never seen Jojo take such a large prey item its amazing how elastic their bodies are.

I'd just wait a few days and see if you can catch her cruising the cage like she's hungry. If you do, then wait another day and try to feed her again.

i was thinking about going and getting her a rat pup or pinky rat and leaving them together for a little while. And maybe she will eat then. Because if i leave a dead mouse or rat in there it will start to decay and a rat pup cant hurt the snake. Do you think thats a good idea?

A rat pup could hurt the snake, it's just less likely to than a big rat. If you put a pup in with her, you should supervise. You can leave dead prey in overnight without any problem. I would still strongly suggest waiting a few days before trying to feed her again.

Ok good news i got my new python maybe i can call her Mojo you know Mojo and Jojo i think its cute. Anyway she ate a mouse which is better then nothing after feeding her prekilled, freeze thawed, and she took a live one with no hesitation either she was really hungry or she prefers live i just had to keep an eye on them to make she the mouse didnt get brave.

Well, I went to the reptile store and got one more mouse for my new BP i figured that she might still be hungry the mouse she ate wasnt all that big. And i tried to feed her again and she didnt take it. Something is better then nothing i suppose. Should i just wait till next feeding time?
