So, uh...

I'm kinda going out on a limb here and asking if snakes emit flatulence(ie, fart).

A few minutes ago I was busy reading the news and all of a sudden I heard the loudest squeaking sound coming(but brief) from my BP's tank. It startled the crap out of me, seeing that I'm alone in my bedroom at 3am with the lights off in complete darkness.

It does also make a bit of sense, considering he's very bloated after eating a rat on the larger side.

Every time someone describes the sound it always sounds like such an alarming and strange experience. I'm sure I'll freak out when I hear one of mine for the first time lol

My pinstripe farts so loud it scares my wife and wakes her up sometimes.

I described it to someone as a rhinoceros sneezing. It was loud and the snake was very small. Best part is the culprit was at the front of her tub, mouth wide open and waving her head around like the roar was coming out of her mouth. Heard it over the loud TV which was promptly muted, scared the dogs, I was desperately wishing for my gun as we all crept over to see who had broken into my house and was now having violent bowel movements in the snake room.

Yes, that was a funny night.

Absolutely. My corn snake toots frequently, although as a lady, she insists it never happens :rolleyes:

I only recently heard one of mine, woke me up... It was loud and loooooooong... it was terrible. Took me so long to wake up from it though that my mind incorporated most of it into a dream... that was strange....

One of my snakes let out a high pitched, quick toot while striking an f/t rat... I thought for sure the damned rat was jesus, came alive and squeaked! :P

EDIT: Sorry, my humor gets a little silly when I've been up for 30 hours. :P

I try to blame farts on my snake all the time :) But when she farted on me she got her revenge. It was loud and short scared the dog and myself pretty good as well :)
