trade went bad any advice

So i traded my female pastel on here and when they got it, said she had blood coming out of her vent and said the vet said was most likely nothing and she shed during shipping and they didn't want to keep her and said they are sending her back but haven't heard anything from them since Friday and I've texted them numerous times and messaged them on here but no word from them any advice on what i could do or should i just cut my losses

You traded to someone from here on BP ?

We need some more information please. What were you trading for ? Did you receive what they agreed to send ? Do you have copies of all communication between you and this person ? Did they provide photographic evidence of the supposed problem ? What about a copy of the vet report ? What terms were agreed upon before the trade in case of problems ?

Pleas provide as much information as you can.

I would call them and leave a message, email them and text them that they have 24 hours to contact you or you are going to post a thread on the BOI at Fauna and go to the authorities. Once that 24 hours has elapsed, I would contact the local police department and explain what happened and post a BOI thread. I wouldn't expect the police to do anything, but you never know. If it goes that far, I would also post a thread here since this is the forum where you met the person.

How long had the person had their profile here? Make sure they didn't set up a dumby account to just scam you.

^ I agree. I had something similar happen to me, but it was in the dog world (I also am highly involved with the world of canine competitions).

Anyways, this is how we would catch a "runner":
1. Call/text/email and leave a message with a warning of how you will contact the authorities, post his information online, and track him down via internet, phone or whatever.
2. Send a professional letter with warning
3. Call at different hours from different numbers
4. If you really want to catch them, then you could possibly hunt them down in person (I don't recommend this really, but I've done it before with success)

When this fails, go to authorities (the animal control is a good one, or other herp clubs/rescues/organizations near the trader's home), post in every forum about snakes warning about him, and possibly find someone who knows computers that can hack.

If the authorities don't want to help, then you can go on saying the animal's worth, how people who do illegal things with snakes can be related to worse criminal activities, they might release the snake causing problems with invasive species (if this is in the south), etc...

sounds like a scam to me. i would warn people of them and also make a report to the authorities using the address you sent the snake to.
