    Feeling blue...
I had a first time female mojo lay this year.
    Her clutch was 7 eggs.
    One had no veins
Now 2 that had veins seem to be fading.
The veins are turning I to dots and slowly disappearing
    Hope the four left survive.
Do you think the 2 would recover or does this mean they are bad?
The other 4 have strong veins and look like perfectly normal healthy eggs.

I really have no idea, but I'm crossing my fingers for the whole clutch. Let us know what happens with them, best of luck.

I wouldn't mess with them. Until the eggs start to rot keep incubating them. They don't need candled every day, week, or month cause it sure as heck is not going to positively affect the outcome of the clutch. Yes, I candle them after being layed to make sure they all have veins and when possible make sure the ones without veins are not connected to a good egg.

Can anyone tell me how candling eggs multiple times can have a positive effect on the eggs?

It doesn't, It is for the sole purpose of giving you a warm and fuzzy feeling.

I haven't been candling daily. More like once a week cause these are this girls first eggs.
And they were 6 good veins and one dud looking one.
Now the dud still is plump and not rotting and 3 others veins are turning into little shriveles.

I know nothing about eggs, but I think that you may want to use a different light source, my BIL raises birds and phone lights do not tell what is really inside.

Of course it doesn't affect the clutch, positively or negatively. I candle mine every time I burp the tub to see how they're doing.

Can you say why it's bad to know how they're developing, or are you just being pompous?

Its bad for my bator cuz its a reptibator :(
and heat escapes quickly. But it warms up quick too. And honestly I feel like I'm losing my first clutch of hope for my first combo morph and that's why I'm super bummed .
Now my chances of hitting my BEL are slimmer and I'm just super bummed but also hopeful that I really just want one.
