? On handling baby BDs.

First of all I have a Normal BP, love it! I did extensive research and it helped quite a bit. My youngest kid at the age 11 wanted to pick up a lizard. I talked to people and still did my research. Out of three different types (green iguana, green anole, and BD) we decided on a baby BD. I'm basically saying that I just didn't jump into it! I know how fragile they can be. About 4 inches including the tale. What's the best way to pick him/her up? Just looking for different options so he/she doesn't get hurt by me or my two boys. I supervise with the BP and will do the same with the BD!

Make sure whoever is handling him/her is sitting on the ground.
Since babies tend to be a bit jumpy, we don't want any major falls.
I used my hands as a beardie treadmill until she tired out and then would just sit in my hands.

4 inches is pretty small. They are fragile at that size and can be scared of nearly everything since at that size they are prey for nearly everything, including larger dragons. I would recommend doing as little handling as possible until he's at least 7 or 8''. Once they get a little bigger, they will dramatically calm down and make a much better pet for handling in terms of both temperament and fragility.
