    Day 50 egg question
So my clutch is on day 50 and all seems well, eggs are dimpled, there's condensation inside the tub.
I candled them just to get a look and they sure don't seem to take up much space in the eggs.
They take up maybe half of the egg with their bodies and the rest is yolk and veins.
Does this seem normal? Shouldn't they take up the whole space of the egg by now?

    Ok if you say so!
This is my first clutch so it's hard for me to know what's normal yet. :)
The eggs are very small so i was worried from the beginning.

Could i safely cut the eggs on day 55 or should i wait longer?

Nope, half the egg is right on target, I have a clutch on day 54 and they're only filling about 1/2 their eggs.

You'll get plenty of different answers but I wait til my first pip to cut the rest. This is just in case they haven't developed quite as quickly as normally expected. When one pips you can be fairly certain the others are close enough, developmentally, to safely cut the rest.

I usually cut (carefully) around day 55-57. If its your first time, you might let them pip? Otherwise cutting has never been an issue for me, but you have to careful to not corrupt the "open" egg. That said, its fun to have a look and see what's coming ... :)

Ok, sounds like a good plan to me. I've heard of plenty of people doing it that way. It does seen the safest.

I've waited this long, wish they'd just hurry up and hatch already lol
    Longest 2 months ever!

It's now day 55 and some of the eggs are quite dimpled (the ones on the right)
Should i cut? Or should i still wait until one pips?

I would, but I'm also concerned about the one on the left, in the middle row, almost looks extremely moldy on the bottom.
