Would you say you have a big ego when it comes to your herps?
I know I am, that's all I ever want to talk about. And I love to show them off.
That "Ooh, Ahh!" reaction is a great feeling.
I love teaching people that they shouldn't be feared, but respected.
And I adore it when I help a friend get over a fear of them.

Not sure if ego is the right word.

I am proud of my collection, but very humble in comparison to what is out there.

I am egotistic about my knowledge of genetics and such

I love my collection, and I love that other people enjoy the them as well. I love talking herps but that's because it is my hobby. If someone doesn't like the same morph/species/ or reptiles in general it doesn't bother me because everyone has their ownikes and dislikes

I wasn't comfortable with using the word ego, but I couldn't think of any other word that would be even close. xD
There are plenty of snakes that I could only own in my dreams.

No ego, but I am certainly proud of what I own and feel very fortunate that I'm able to own them - I've worked hard to save up and get the snakes I want and the supplies I need. I certainly found my passion for snakes, and although I can't really talk about them much with anyone other than my bf (since family and coworkers don't seem to particularly care IMO) it doesn't make me enjoy them any less.

not really but i do enjoy talking snakes with other snake owners it's always interesting to know what their experiences have been like owning snakes as well as future plans wether it be breeding or a new species. now for those who don't like snakes im not into arguments because they don't like them i simply continue my love for reptiles even if they have nothing nice to say it doesn't stop me.

I wouldn't go as far as saying I am self rightous or egotistical about my knowledge or collection, but that's not to say that I am not proud of both. I guess it's a fine line. I try not to come off as cocky but I'm sure it may come across that way sometimes.. LOL
