Is this a wound?

    So i got this new ball python and when i got her she had a wound or something on her back close to her head. Anyone know what it might be.

    i can't really see it. but i do know one thing, if you just got that bp you should definitely keep it away from your other one for a while....

    For just the one ball python, yeah; as long as he is around 25" or smaller. Otherwise, he may be too cramped.

    And I honestly have no idea what that could be, I can't really see it. Has he seen the vet yet?

    Is that a scar on the top of her head? where did you get that python?? pet shop? And I agree with emroul, you need to take that python to the vet.

    quarantine from your other BP ASAP!! And now that i think about it, since you put them together, I would take them both in...

    They are kept seperate the white mark on top of her head is a water color mark. The dealer where i got her from marks his BP's to know which ones are feeding well and which ones are not. He said that it will come off with some water or when she sheds next.

    thats an interesting way to see whos eating. not the best...but interesting. what does the "wound" feel like (if you can get your hand that close to its head)? itf they are jusst rough dull scales, they could have been rubbed against somthing. could it just be a little flaw in the color pattern?
