    Which is het clown?
I know there are no 100% guaranteed markers for hets, but sometimes, people can spot the difference between a het clown and a normal. Just wondering if those of you with the trained eye can spot which one might be het clown.

These are both 66% hets that are priced right and really clowe to me, so I'll save on shipping. Probably going to bring one home later today.

My guess is candidate 1 due to the solid brown color.... But your guess is as good as mine!

    Could be none,
    Could be both,
I personally wouldn't choose, I'd use the money saved on shipping and buy both if priced decently enough.

It's not THAT much money saved on shipping lol. And I have enough room for 1 more snake, and my collection is complete!

It's cheaper than any other adult, and theres a possibility one of them (or neither) is het clown.

I was told you could only prove out hets through breeding, and that appearance could be misleading.
But I could be wrong, I'd got with #1.

You are 100% correct. Sometimes, specifically with the clown gene, the clown will really make it's presence known! Check out this super pastel het clown!

It almost looks like a pastel desert with an insane head pattern :gj:.

    Wow, that's a beautiful snake.

    I love clowns.
    They're my favorite recessive.

I dont even know what "markers" to look for. What would indicate a snake is het for clown??

And that super pastel het clown is off the chain!!!

I've read posts and seen videos where people say they can spot a het clown. As you can see from the photo of the SPHC, the clown gene changed the look of that super pastel. I've seen other examples of this in other animals as well.

By the lack of votes, im guessing nobody knows lol.

Yeah it really did something wacky to that sp! But I have seen a thread or 2 that had both opinions that yes you can spot a het clown and no there is no way to spot a het clown! I know every now and then het gene carriers have some really outrageous patterns but I have yet to see someone actually point out what markers to keep an eye out for... I wish you luck on your het clown endeavors my friend! :gj:
