I've joined the club!!

After a year and a half of owning snakes, I FINALLY got tagged!! Loki looked at the mouse for all of 5 seconds, then shot straight up the tongs and latched onto my middle finger. After a few seconds of me going "oh s**t!" and trying to figure out how to get her off without hurting her, she realized she didn't have dinner in her mouth, and let me go to go after the mouse I'd dropped in her tank. Didn't really hurt, just felt like I stuck my hand in a thorny bush and was like "wow, that's not very pleasant. I should take my hand out of there." haha. Surprised the ****ens out of me though!

I was in the middle of washing it off when I went, "Oh no, pictures, pictures!! I hope I'm still bleeding so people can see it!!" Only us snake owners, right? :rolleyes:

I didn't get photos but my Norma nailed me last month.

Hubby opened the door and bumped her tub and it freaked her out so naturally, she blamed me and chomped me right on the knuckles.

She's a good sized girl and I always worried it would hurt but I actually said to her "Seriously? That's it"?

[the one that does freak me out a little is my greedy, crazy, always ravenous Dum...she actually stalks me on feeding night and more than once, has hit the glass with her big mouth open like a gator!]

The only thing that worried me when Loki got me was "oh crud, how do I get her to let go?" I was trying to find a good place to grab her when she let go on her own when she failed to be able to wrap my hand. lol

My boa is the one I really get cautious with. I bought a pair of 12" stainless steel grip tongs, because feeding her with 6" bug grippers was making me very nervous. She grabbed them along with the rat and pulled them along with it. :O

Lol, my boa has taken the tongs along for the ride too. Had them in his tail, rat in his upper body, didn't let go until rat was gone..

She bit the rat over the tongs, I had to wait for her to realize she had to let go to actually eat it before I got the tongs back. lol!
